I would have given up. They're on a 50 year drought, have one playoff trip since 1995, moved for a few years and then when the new Browns came back, they were worse than ever while the Ravens won the super bowl, will be on their sixth coach just since 2008, have not made any progress as a franchise at all in the last decade, always make the wrong decisions in every facet, and just hired a baseball executive as the Vice President of football operations. There is no hope for the Browns. Last year when the Ravens were out there the camera cut to a fan holding a sign that read "hey Baltimore, can you take this team too?"

Why you assume people only switch when their team is down? Clips was winning when that donald sterling shyt came out, for many, that was their first knowledge of his cism, wouldn't blame someone switching sides.You pick who you're with and stay with it. No switching. It's easy to cheer when your team is winning but it shows how strong you are as a fan when your team is trash but you're still there for them.
That's why casual bandwagon fans are the worst
Anyway, been said, fam/friend drafted to a team, team relocation, racist org, or pure shyt ownership - like a decade of incompetence..,those all qualify to me. I might also give a pass to someone who moved to a new area and over the years, becomes a fan of the team in that area...you gotta put in years tho before it's acceptable
