This hit me too, plus when Adam Sandler was in the rain in Click. Coppola found it so painful from an audience perspective that he had music covering most of it.

In fact they are too good. So much so that it becomes a lesser movie after that first 10 minutes. Its like I can watch that scene.....and then cut it off right afterwards.
