No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
Listening to 21 year olds discuss what was bigger bone vs wu is some crazy shyt. Considering I'm 26 and even my generation was a lil too young and came up on puff jay z dmx and them... Bone headlined in front of wu....BLOCK.. Lol.

Wasn't bizzy bone molested? Bone a buncha sing song mufukkas who rap about bone. Scust

This thread is irrelevent, cause at the end of the day, wu tang in 2013 is bigger than bone. Denying that is being an idiot. You still heart bout who's droppin what, articles in big mags, sites, papers, movies, etc. Bone is completely ireelevent. When it goes down in the books, wu is going next to nas biggie jay pac level of artist while bone will be a trivia question at best on a 3rd rate gameshow

Ok..let's look at this..as a group

Best of the best albums

E.1999 >>>> enter the 36 chambers

Lets compare the double albums

Art of war >>>> wu forever

Let's compare rappers:

Krayzie and bizzy bone>>>>>>any rapper in the wu

What about popularity at the height of their success and albums sold and Grammys won:

Bone thugs>>>>>>wu tang

What about side projects :

Mo thugs >>>>>any wu affiliates

What about hooks:

Bone thugs>>>>wu tang

Let's look at talent and skills(double time rhymes and singing)

Bone THUGZ >>>>wu tang

The only thing wu has bone beat on is solo albums....

BONE THUGZ WINS THIS

its a draw b, im a bone fan but they equal in terms of popularity and influence. Wu has the hood over bone thugs tho atleast here in nyc.

but your right in terms of AOW and WU Forever AOW was much better and much more cohesive and theme driven. Wu had bigger egos than bone at that time.

Wu solos crushes bone solos.

Bone Thugs had the entire nation on lock,Wu had a strong fanbase and a cult following but stop it:wtb:....Bone wuz next level,Bone wuz so big they had a huge white/mexican fanbase before the 2000's which made them start to appear uncool to nikkas the fact all these white people were diehard stans:leon: it sent up a red flag "these nikkas mut be gettin corny and I'm just not realizing it:noah:".....and they've had that white fanbase for so long even those white fans have probaly gotten sick of them nikkas by now:.

Be honest here the way the media massages that name and reveres you in the yrs after your career is over and your irrelevant will decide how legendary you appear, the media and the fans of course........Wu stans are probaly one of the most passionate fanbases of all time and delusional...but hey that's what it takes and it working.....it ain't that many people that care about Wu or like them now that didn't like they azz back then......they fanbase is just as relentless and delusional as ever:laff:.....Bone fans have failed Bone:to: and the media(NY) never really appreciated them like they did the Wu for obvious reasons...they name just don't get the same rub...so let's put the bullshyt aside about who appears bigger now cuz we all know there are outsidef factors that can make that happen.

Let's talk about the hits that sweeped the nation:ohlawd: songs that still get played today(never heard a wu song on the radio).....Bone had the nation,Wu never had the nation and still don't have the nation...they just got a crazy fanbase who stan til the end:salute:...get ya wu wear draws in a bunch if u want to....Bone had the better music and bigger impact...love to Methodman and Ghostface aight, rest of the Wu can kiss my azz as a group,I wuznt tryna hear them nikkas rap lol, group or solo wise.....might as well been a group full of Wish Bones..

I don't really see how Wu's impact can be questioned when they are literally cultural icons. Who from Bone has gotten their own tv show and movie? It's 2013 and Wu dudes are making appearances on Jimmy Kimmel and Fallon. The racial draft and Wu-tang financial skits on Chappelle were so loved and instant classics among fans of the show because they knew who Wu was. Those sketches don't land with some off brand rap group that nobody cares about as you foolishly claim
And you speak about white fans...Guess what, 80% of this country is white, and they are the majoriry of music supporters. So if you don't have a large white fan base then you really aren't that big. Bone isn't exempt from that fact of life themselves, so don't front like their shows look like Harlem in 1935

wu doesnt have shyt that you could even compare to those songs, EVERYONE knows those songs

how does it feel that wycleff and wayne used an original wu song and made it a bigger hit than wu ever had :heh:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znQbwP51GYQ

you think game and tygas version of 1st of tha month will ever be bigger than the original????? :laff: HELL NO

True, I never been in a situation where anyone was singin a Wu song except CREAM. But Bone, they got them classics on deck.

Can we all agree that Bone doesn't have an album that is universally heralded as a classic? In the way that 36, OBFCL and Liquid Swords are? Not saying whether any of the Bone albums are classics or not and not arguing whether it is fair or right for none of the albums to be deemed classic. Those are separate issues. But can we all agree that when classic hip hop albums are discussed and debated - Bone isn't brought up? Same thing with legendary rappers. When people bring up the Bigs, Pacs, Scarfaces, etc., nobody brings up anyone from Bone?

All these Bone threads have got me thinking about Bone's legacy and how weak it is given how huge they were in the 90s and that they have at least three certified classic singles.

The hell does Bizzy being molested have to do with anything? :comeon: He has openly admitted this on more than one occasion.

I agree with whomever said Bone was the better group while Wu had the better solos. This is only a :troll: thread to those that completely disagree w/ OP.

:wtf:

E1999 outsold wu tangs whole discography, solo albums included

And the last time both groups dropped an album at the same time was 2007 and
Bone outsold them

I'm always gonna prefer Bone to Wu but I could never diss or downplay Wu I have too much love n respect for them and if anybody takes Wu over Bone I can't knock it but this idea that there isn't a comparison is fukin retarded

Your post - despite quoting my post - didn't respond to my post in any way. Also - Please Hammer Don't Hurt Em outsold Bone's whole discography for what it's worth.

Do you agree that no Bone album is universally heralded as a classic?
