People have been talking about Kendrick and TDE for a minute, they have nothing to do with ASAP

And a dude from OF just had the #1 album on billboard a few weeks ago.

Well, some of yall cannot read.

I'm talking about the media blowing someone up and then hoping on the next thing.

OF has a following, yeah, but the media don't care about them anymore.

ASAP had a huge spurt of media attention, now they on Chief Keef.

The internet has really sped up the rate at which people listen to music. Artists have to be constantly putting out material to keep their hype up. Even just a month without new material can deflate an artist's hype.

A lot of times, they never actually HAD buzz to begin with.

Twitter/blogs/etc. push/promote things and it gives the illusion of buzz when it was never there. It was just on the internet and not in actual life.

I disagree.

The internet used to be a niche and don't necessarily translate to real life.

But today, EVERYONE is on the internet. If you can afford music, or if you are following music, you are on the internet. The internet is no longer in the shadows, apart from "actual life" ... the internet is now a part of real life.
