the ball carrying thing is something I noticed over the last 5 years. Dudes refuse to move the ball towards the sideline when running. Not just to use your inside arm as a weapon, but also to protect the football. Switching the ball towards the sideline gives the defender the smallest area to try and force a fumble.I really hate running backs that keep the ball in one hand all the time instead of switching the ball to their outside hand.
It's so unfundamentally sound. Why wouldn't you want to use your inside hand as a weapon? I see so many running backs get stripped because the ball is facing the pursuit on the inside hand. It's disgusting. I grw up watching Payton punish niqqas with that off hand or putting it in the ground as a third leg to regain balance.
I swear, my Pop Warner coaches were so rooted in teaching fundamentals, it allowed every other coach I was under thereafter to just worry about play calling, not teaching me how to play the game.
These dudes have none of it running back wise
Fundamentals isn't only a basketball thing.

They move without the ball and pass it aorund in college but its mostly because they cant create they own shot
