At the bolded part - This. It's clear at times that Southgate is afraid to change things up during a game.

Yeah, in retrospect, holding onto two subs for penalties was a bad idea. Even at the time, I was wondering why he didn't make more changes. I thought bringing Grealish on late worked and they were definitely more positive there in extra time. Why not make a second sub and just try to win in ET?

I dapped this, but didn't see the "getting fired" part.
That's not happening. :mjlol:
You really think they’ll keep him on? Too many criticisms about his style and management for me. But maybe I’m being rash. He’s on very thin ice at the least in my opinion.

Because he’s failed them again when it matters playing conservatively. Even his lineup today was met with criticism. England will never win with him. Quote me in a few weeks or months if he’s still in charge. This tournament was tilted in England’s favor with many big teams playing terribly and needing to retool, and they still couldn’t get it done.
England simply lost to the better team. If he didn't play conservatively, guaranteed Italy would sliced through them.

The Italian Job!!!

The Fake Italians and the real Italians taking the championship in hostile territory.

I’m 3 for 3 in championship predictions (UCL, Copa America and Euros) :wow:

Naija to win WC’22, you heard it here first

?

Italy are my “outside favouritesafter France, Belgium and Portugal.

They got enough to make at least a SF run.

France or Italy will win this entire thing.

Saka and them other yute stepped up when them more senior players was too p*ssy. They deserve respect. England and Southgate have other things to be mad at than missed penalties. He’s getting fired for this.
I wouldn't have had Saka take that pen. Sterling or Hendo should've stepped up. Sancho and Rashford I have a little less sympy for b/c they were brought on specifically for pens. You could tell Rashford got caught in two minds when Donnarumma jumped to the left and came back and left Rashford guessing which way he'd go again.

It's England. That's the style the English play. They don't like being aggressive. Plus, given their history, a semi and a final in consecutive tournaments is good.

I don’t much agree with this, but I see where you’re coming from too. Sure Italy was in better form but it’s because Mancini allows them to play. England should have won today. Early goal then just sat back inviting pressure allowing Italy to play until the goal came. They had the speed and technique to cause Italy way more problems than they did.
