True, they navigate in the same areas indeed. But there's also the fact that are build up is centered deeper around Pogba who cant pass and go with Benz. Benz needs players around him who can use his dropping down and playing quick passes to beat the block.

With Dembouz out, we dont really have anybody with a different play style to replace Grizzi on the right. Lemar would be in similar areas, Coman's best position is on the left and Thuram is a forward. Only way we can make it work is by subbing Giroud for Benz.

Ill be waiting for Zidane. Then I'm sure Benz will properly shine.

he did well against Germany pressing. even against Leipzig, he was the only United player to play his way out of the press. He's the only midfielder at United who's comfortable with the ball. Doubt PL physicality has to do with it. He's just inconsistent for united. France is finally playing in a midfield 3 and he's just one of the cms. It helps when you have Kante and even that bum Rabiot who is still better under the press than McFred
