Why commercial?
The league puts caps on the number of charter flights so richer owners don’t have competitive advantage. Pre-Covid I think it was like 4 a year. It’s like 8 now over 30 plus games not including separate competitions.

As great as CR7 is there are a lot of reasons he wouldn’t absolutely kill it in MLS totally. A lot would be working against him. It happened to Zlatan also.

I have to say practically none of the top/big teams have impressed me apart from Italy.

Spain - WTF?
Portugal - Exposed majorly. Leaky defence.
France - I expected better. Even their win against Germany was kinda lackluster (not to mention Germany scored for them).
Germany - Terrible. However, they kinda redeemed themselves against Portugal
England - Only scored one goal in two games. SMH
Belgium - It's obvious without De Bruyne, E Hazard and Witsel, they become kinda lackluster. Lukaku isn't much of a playmaker.
The Netherlands - They are a shadow of a once respected team.
Croatia - Modric is showing his age. I don't see much young talent on the team.

The teams that have impressed me:
Italy - They are strong and they aren't playing the 'score one goal then play negatively' game, anymore.
Wales - They have surprised me.
Czechia/Czech Republic - Suprisingly solid.

When the 48 team WC comes around and the notorious slow starters get dumped after just 2 games, what a day that will be. :pachaha: :banderas:

For the most part, I'm with you but I'd say Germany and Belgium have impressed. KBD, Hazard, and Witsel were coming off injuries. It's likely they'll be in the first XI moving forward so I expect Belgium to be firing on all cylinders.

Germany against Portugal showed they still have fight, however, Semedo sold that game something serious. With Cancelo that match is likely a different result. Portugal have the components but Santos aint the man. I think they'd be better off in 4-1-4-1. Danilo as a defensive mid with Silva/Bruno ahead next to Sanches. Flank with Jota and Rafa. But dude doesn't have the tactical nous.
Why are these games on the same time today :dahell:

Disgrace of Gijon and to avoid potential match fixing. The same thing happens in the prem of the final matchday of the season. Everyone plays at the same time.

I still think Belgium could win the tournament. But Italy... god damn.

I agree with you for the most part. However, Portugal's defence is leaky as fukk. 4 goals scored against them with 2 of them being own goals from a German team that has some problems (boy, is Germany rough around the edges).
1 own goal is a mistake. 2 own goals is a major cause for concern.
