He probably didn’t want his Son to kill him. He thought PNB was an easy lick but had his son do it for legal reasons since he is a juvenile. Son approaches PNB to give up the Chain, PNB being a hard head pushes back, the second he pushes back, the kid puts two in his chest.

There’s no doubt in my mind that the reason PNB got his because he pushes back against giving up the chain. If he just gave up the chain he would be alive.
