Around what year did you stop listening to "New" rap regularly?

Never. I admit I don’t keep up like I used to becuz there’s SO MUCH music being released compared to the past that I can’t keep up. But I always like to stay current as best as possible. I refuse to be one of them old nikkas who complain and don’t even know whats out. If I say something is garbage it’s becuz I gave it a chance

I'd say around 2008. Up until then i was aware of every single album release and looking forward to upcoming albums, complaining about rappers who delayed or took a long time between releases. Nowadays, i'm not even aware of your music unless a single makes it into radio rotation. and i won't know your name unless you appear on tv alot. Back on SOHH i was in the hiphop thread regularly, on thecoli , i can't remember the last time i visited that subforum.

Complaining and losing interest are two different things.

I don't watch pro wrestling anymore, but I don't fuss about it when it's on. I just change the channel

True but I wasn’t calling you one of those types. nikkas complain on here all the time about music but don’t even listen to it. I’ve complained too but it was becuz I actually tried to give it a chance
:heh:

People keep saying music fell off but you view things different when you get older. Plus the vast amount of music being put out is gonna lead to a ton of mediocrity

I guess thats my era like 95-2008
I liked alot of hiphop before 95 but i wasn't really of age to appreciate it when it came out. so i feel the previous era was like 85-94
my older cousins music like Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Run DMC and LL Cool J and shyt.
my generation was Biggie, Wu-tang, Nas etc
