Mental illness is real and folks who find this funny are sick themselves. Her house is like that because she is a horder and her thoughts and mind are probably just as disorganized as her physical environment. I hope this sister receives the help she desperately needs.

It is sad. It's a combination of depression and trauma manifesting as hoarding. She knows it's wrong but her mind also won't unscramble her actions enough to be productive. I've had relatives like this.. it's scary af and it made me become a minimalist.
