Not gonna be a popular take but I sorta agree with him. I'm not a big fan of basketball men's or women's but I've seen Angel play a few times and...it wasn't impressive bruh. Especially in the college games, shorty would just stand under the hoop and miss 3 layups to make 1. Doing this over the course of the game she magically ends up with a double double from getting rebounds off her own bricks but it's ugly as shyt. If this was a NBA player people would be making all sorts of fraud watch narratives.

Then there is the scandal currently developing of Angel Reese's coach utilizing the rest of team inefficiently to help inflate Angel's stats


The problem is that people have become so entrenched in the Clark vs Reese racial narrative that Angel has become sort of a sacred cow in the black community. Aries Spears likely keyed in on that and took the opportunity to grift off a controversial take. Him calling her garbage and whatnot is hyperbole for clicks but her game is not that impressive when you watch it, IJS. I don't even watch basketball like that to be jumping out the window defending her on some black shyt but I do sympathize with the racial abuse she received.

Shorty is trash around the hoop, but a double double and breaking the record for it as a rookie is still damn sure impressive
