As a Chilean that has a bunch of Argentinian friends and has visited the country many times, it has always puzzled me that no matter how bad the economy was and how shytty the situation is for a a big % of the people, you can still see things "work" or go on like nothing is really happening. Folks still go to restaurants every day, they still live a normal life somehow and shyt just chugs along. It's like whoever is able to stay in the middle class somehow floats above all the economic fukkery, it's truly mindblowing to watch and not even Argentinians can explain how they do it :mjlol:

When Macri won in 2015, he wanted to do some things to stop all the nonsense and the huge economic hole Kirchnerism put the country in. And that lasted like a month before the whole system told him to go fukk himself and never let him do anything. I have a hard time picturing Milei not facing even worse opposition considering the dude is fukking insane and the poster boy of right wing populism :scust: wouldn't shock if half the country goes on strike by 2025 (after a 2024 that might get some positive results in the short term) :dead:

Only way he's able to pull off some of the things he's promised is just shutting down Congress and just go full autocratic maniac. But to be honest, it might more likely he ends up like De la Rua and escapes Buenos Aires in a helicopter.

Conan the dog will order him to invade Falklands, just watch.

Wasn't the best idea the first time, would be a disaster the second time especially if you peg your entire economy to decisions made in DC.

I'm really glad I know know or love anyone from Argentina or feel any particular attachment to that country. I wanna feel bad about the people who will suff, but this could also be an object lesson of how Libertarian fails at every single level it's ever tried, ever.

Libertarianism doesn't work at the company level

Libertarianism doesn't work at the town level

Libertarianism doesn't work at the state level

Now we get to see Libertarianism not working at the national level

I just hope he fails quickly because if he has a little honeymoon like Macri did, it might spill here to Chile and we might end up with fukking Kast as president :snoop: :why:  by mid 2025 I truly need Milei to fail BADLY so we can all point our finger to Argentina and say we don't need right wing populism here.
