I'm not sure TKO/WWE wants a heel Cody.

This is why I think Cena is gonna be The Rock's Advocate.

Cody is the TKOWWE mascot at this point and Roman don't seem to want to be that despite being prolly bigger to wrestling fans.
Here’s what I’d do:

Have Cena/Punk be the last two in the Chamber with Cena winning, setting up Cody/Cena to close out Night 2

A desperate Punk cashes in on his favor from Heyman to demand that the main event be a triple threat match between him, Cody, and Cena

Punk then aligns himself with The Rock and pins Cody at WM 41 by “stabbing him in his front,” finally getting that huge Mania win and solidifying himself as Corporate Man Punk

Sure his feuds afterwards until KO were somewhat underwhelming but

“The Story” lead to

The best Road to WM in years
The best WM main event in years both nights
One of the best WM endings in years
And “The Final Boss”

:manny:And Cody is still over
This. All of this.

Cody coming back in 2022 was a gamechanger for WWE and they’re still reaping the benefits. You can’t convince me that anyone else on the roster could’ve beaten Roman that would’ve been nearly as good as Cody finishing the story

I actually think he’s had a solid year long title reign. He’s got classics with AJ and KO but the lack of credible heels was a problem

This is where a Heel CM Punk comes in :demonic:

the Cody aj and ko matches are cap as classics.

Aj and cody is rhe same neutered workrate bullshyt that aj v nakamura at mania was. The foreign crowd carried that match. The inring shyt was remedial and dialed back in workrate.

The ko cody match was only two spots. That had to be ratcheted up. After trash ass hiac with punk and drew was neutered to bullshyt level.
Even in that. The two money spots in that match. Was only next level for wwe only fans.

Who never saw Steen v generico. To know ko has levels of workrate higher .
than the neutered wwe workrate. Which is all neutered in principle. Sohh No worker can ever outwork cripple ache's attitude smashmouth main event matches.
in single premise of principle..

If they were fye. I would have ranted them. [Women 24 rumble was fye. Yet I don't rate squashes or battle royals]

I been hoping to rant any wwe match. Yet none have been fye to do so.

When I watched them back. It was the same bullshyt.
as Naka vs aj at mania. One just had two prop bumps. The other just had a hot crowd. Where the inring action was so neutered. It did not warrant a rant.
I feel meltzer gave it five stars just because of the foreign crowd and the workers. That aj v cody match is not a five star match. I would have given it 2.25 stars. It sure as hell was no 3.o or 3.5 level match. The ladder match i would have given three stars.
Just for the sheer bumps on those small dangerous surfaces. To the Alabama slam spot.

Other than those spots. This match was more to push ko mania with Sami. Than to really make a great match outside of two high spots with ladders.
