i was actually ehh about this movie, action was good, acting was ok, was beautiful visually but now with the jesus plot made it actually good filled in some holes

Well prometheus is a quasi prequel but in the original script it is a direct prequel

Is this movie catching that much hate? I enjoyed it. I'm not up on the whole Alien saga and all aspects of it but I enjoyed the movie, enough to make me want to check out the Alien saga. They are connected, right?

Ridley is only tying it to Alien. It's set in the same universe and not a direct sequel.
