I've seen it.
And its not good.
Biggest movie disappointment of the year. Trailers had me thinking this would be a classic. But almost nothing in the second half works. Its just a mess. The creatures weren't scary and felt like something out of the Star Wars prequels. And the last shot of the film is an embarrassment (you'll know when u see it). I definitely don't consider this a part of the alien canon.
I like the concept of the film and theres a lot of great ideas in it but it just falls apart very early. Fassbender and Idris Elba are great. And there is a scene where they inspect a space jockeys head at the lab that is awesome and felt like something out of a Paul Verhoeven movie. And the c-section scene is intense and scary. But overall this is just a mess

I'll probably still love it. Seems like its one of those movies you walk away from without 1 surefire answer and you discuss it amongst ur brehs.
at this question. He has some classics. It's Ridley Scott, not Michael Bay. I don't really care about reviews, I'm going to see it in IMAX 3D next week. Most of the negative reviews I seen said not enough questions were answered, which is open to interpretation. I've yet to read a review that was flat out "this is a bad movie".

Yeah...two decades ago.
"Gladiator", "American Gangster" and "Blackhawk Down" was 2 decades ago?
And those are considered his "ok" movies. Prior to that he has a string of classics. Again, asking "what did you expect from Ridley Scott" makes zero sense considering his track record.
