UC3 was melting people's PS3's and they still can't run Skyrim well
saying they haven't been "fully tapped into" is just a bunch of BS. there's plenty of games out there that use 100% of it's resources

I love it. These shyts cost too much to be buying every few years all willy nilly. My PS3 still serving me well. Why I want to be forced to buy a PS4 sooner rather than later?

I am. Devs need to work on improving gameplay instead of maxing out hardware.
Tell me why Madden and NCAA were way better last gen but are terrible this gen? It's because of all that extra crap devs worry about trying to make the release date instead of focusing on gameplay.

Yes, it's absolutely fine. The advancement of consoles is slowing down anyway, at least in the sense of making the the technology approach anything affordable. Extremely advanced consoles have dropped to early and then they tank. I remember when the Turbo Grafx 16 dropped. It predated the Genesis and the Super Nintendo and it blew NES out of the water, but it was a pricy (for the time) system and there were few developers who had the resources to make games in a timely manner. This happened again with the Sega CD and Saturn, where they were caught in the transition period. None of the big 3 want to risk doing that.

its necesarry. Its not like before where n64/ps1 was a huge leap from the previous gen and ps2/xbox was another big leap. Why make a new console after an arbitrary amount of time just because when its just a slightly better version of the previous console.
The point still stands tho, the 360 and PS3 are so outdated its ridiculous. Obviously it has to remain stock for a certain number of years, but DAMN man unless its a PS3 exclusive or something some of those games look fukking terrible. I would hate to see what Max Payne 3 looks on the xbox 360...I am willing to bet that Max Payne 2 on the pc looks better.

Negative...I have Max Payne and it looks pretty good. But these systems are outdated...I was hoping for this Christmas for new consoles...I've been ready.

I've got mixed emotions about this 
my PS3 gonna have me eating good well into next year just with exclusives alone with The Last of Us, God of War:Ascension, Beyond:Two Souls, Ni No Kuni:Wrath of The White Witch, Sly Cooper:Thieves in Time, and the others that havent been shown yet. Atlus still hasnt shown Persona 5 yet, Final Fantasy Versus 13(or whatever they're going to call it when they put it on the 360 too), Agent, The Last Guardian, Overstrike, Kingdom Hearts 3(I mean, it HAS to come out at some point. Square isnt THAT stupid...I hope) and a bunch of others.
There's still a lot of quality games coming down the pipeline. Hell, some of these companies are JUST getting a handle on the hardware and making strides with their games.

This generation definitely stayed fresh longer than the last one. Some of these games coming out still have me like
I'd love having more people in multiplayer though. I hate the fact that BF3 was scaled down to 24 players on consoles. Those maps were built for 64 people and it definitely shows. I'm hoping this is something they can address next gen.

I blame Nintendo. They didn't spend much on the Wii with last gen graphics, and made a grip. Now they're coming out with the wii U that competes graphically only with the 360 and PS3 so I assume both companies don't see the rush to come out with something when they have the advantage price/established userbase wise.
