Breh I'm enjoying games now more than ever. Maybe thats because I have a steady cash flow now than when I was younger.
I don't need a new gen anytime soon if that Watchdogs game is possible on these consoles.

I DON'T THINK IT SLOWS ADVANCEMENT. RIGHT NOW I THINK HARDWARE IS AHEAD OF THE SOFTWARE. GRAPHICS ARE ONLY GETTING MARGINALLY BETTER NOW. THE ONLY HICCUP NOW IS HOW MUCH STUFF YOU CAN HAVE GOING ON AT ONE TIME. THAT'S THE ONLY TIME WHERE HARDWARE IS HOLDING THINGS UP. IN MY OPINION IT ISN'T ENOUGH TO JUSTIFY SPEEDING UP THE NEXT GENERATION OF CONSOLES.
i think tech moves too fast to have something intended to last 10 years, unless you can leave it "future-safe" enough to keep up. microsoft was actually the only company to nail it, when they dropped kinect. they basically gave their cycle a soft reset and bought themselves a LOT more time.
sony has that potential with vita/ps3 connectivity, but how likely is it that they will really pursue it? like i said the other day, ps3 is

10 year life cycle doesn't mean we won't see a new console during that 10 years....
Xbox going 8 years with the new one dropping next Fall is already an amazing feat. We'll see a PS4 around that time or pretty close to it too.

This generation definitely stayed fresh longer than the last one. Some of these games coming out still have me like 
I'd love having more people in multiplayer though. I hate the fact that BF3 was scaled down to 24 players on consoles. Those maps were built for 64 people and it definitely shows. I'm hoping this is something they can address next gen.

Def won't be a problem next gen.

Why not? From what I've read PS3 hasn't even been fully tapped into yet
This Gen still has plenty to offer so I don't see the need to rush
