My selfishness kicks in sometimes when I offer you my generosity but you refuse to take it...and then come back later like a bum.
For example, I have no problem buying you a drink or lunch...but god damn you to hell if you try to reach for a french fry after you said you didn't want anything.

since finding Islam I became very charitable, I still give to various charities and anyone who are struggling.

Man, one year I was in NYC for New Years Eve. My buddies and I were hitting up a few bars then going to watch a band perform at 3am at some joint.
So I get there early and stop by McDonalds to get a soda and chicken sandwich. On the way out of Grand Central, this homeless guy is begging for money. It was brick ass cold, too.
I walked by him, got like halfway down the block and felt guilty. So I'm like...okay, I'll hook him up on the way back.
I had like $18 in change from the meal I was gonna give him. That motherfukker wasn't there when I got back.
I was kinda pissed. I wanted to do something nice.
Oh well.
I don't share my thoughts and feelings in everyday life as freely as I do here and that seems to be a problem for a lot of people around me. My mother, best friend and all my exes say I'm selfish in that aspect, so it can't be a coincidence
You can ask for money, favors or anything , fine, but ask me what I'm thinking about or what's on my mind and I'll get real dry and be like, "

People say the same thing about me. I don't share my personal life or thoughts or feelings.
But whenever someone says that about me, I just think.......well if you want to know, why don't you ask? I have no problems sharing anything about my feelings or personal life or anything. At all. And criticism doesn't even bother me. But it just amazes me that someone could think you're a cold (or in this case, not generous) person when they don't even pry. The way I see it, people don't ask you because they don't care.
