We used to have to go pick up my sister from work on Saturday nights and this show would have me scared to go outside. Not one of the scariest ones, but the pinball episode where dude gets stuck in the mall was my shyt back in the day.

I lived on a pretty crowded block, plus alot of the parents sat on the steps and watched the kids, so it wasnt uncommon for parents to let their kids stay out til 10 or 11 pm on weekends.

Friday nights? Hell yeah...we was playing football under the street lights at 10:30

Saturday? Hell naw...everyone was in at 9 watching Ren and Stimpy then Are You Afraid of the Dark.

Are You Afraid Of The Dark was one of my favorite shows but I never found it to be very scary (apart from a few episodes)

I always preferred Tales From The Crypt or Tales From The Darkside. A lot scarier to me but then again those shows were meant for adults.

U guys also remember the Goosebumps books by R.L. Stein? I had a shyt load of those. They weren't very scary but pretty entertaining for the most part.
