Yeah between the two mentioned, I can only think of another two (and a possible) off the top of my head. Living Single, Martin, and New Girl. What's crazy is they all were on Fox. shyt, the only time I watch Fox now is on Saturday and Sunday during football season.
Fox fall off is crazy

I don’t even watch Simpsons, bobs burger, and family guy like i used to

Grand Crew was cool but it definitely had the uppity nikka appeal. I guess that was the joke because those nikkas were so over the top trying their best to be "brunch". Also, those show where "Friends hang out" usually don't last that long.
i want more uppity black shows.
just over the top/borderline narcissistic alcoholics

no fake pride about being hood/ or someone who always bring poor black people up
no trama bonding
cops bs
etc

Damn got put on to this late. This was a good show. A streaming service should pick it up. All that trash Netflix be putting out they need to throw some money at this.
Facts would be dope if Netlifx picked it up.
HBO MAX could have been cool too but they changed to Max and they shyt got whack.

I agree. It seemed like there was much more diversity back in the day.

I tried to watch this several times, couldn't make it past the first few minutes of episode 3. Seemed like it needed a laugh track or something

I binged both seasons a few weeks ago. I like goofy comedies. It was aiight. I think the most unrealistic part was the wine, which (I know) is the theme of the show. But maybe I'm too poor to relate.

How do you figure that
peacock has a built in black audience with bel-air and best men also some of there past works...the problem is peacock is resentful and is very careful not to become the next BLACK streaming service. If you read any article about them in the last few months and the transition from comedy/young adults being the focus to dramas...very coded language. Black shows are always an afterthought

bel-air and best man have been HUGE hits for them but they want poker face and other white originals to be there flagships series.

Back to grand crew Idk if the show would have been saved completely but as a peacock og it has a built in audience that watches middle class/upper class black content.
NBC does not have that

I get that, but i feel like if you are on peacock you should have brushed past it

I never got the connotation that peacock was for us, i think they green lit two shows that they felt were going to pop, and it did, they tend to put out shows that middle aged to late twenties would like, and aren’t costing an arm and leg in production

Grand crew had potential, but moving it around was the death kiss, and i seriously wonder how many knew about it ? I’d be also interested to see the actual viewership

I completely understand why it was cancelled. Ish was trash all around. The writing and jokes were stale, there was nothing remotely interesting about the characters and wtf was up with the main character? I didn't know if he was bi, gay, gay pretending to be straight, etc. Just couldn't make sense of any of it but none of it was appealing

...this saddens me.

the actors are funny, the writers weren't.
