Americans make high end things. Leave the widgets to other countries. Imagine paying somebody 17 dollars an hour to make a shirt you will sell to a whole seller for $2.
fukk China. Put the pressure on them, but leave the Americas out of it. Incentivize companies to move their manufacturing to El Salvador, Nicaragua, Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala.
After four years, companies will have the infrastructure to produce there. People will have jobs and stop coming to America. Win win win.

Trump is so damn stupid, companies were reshoring and nearshoring without his input. If that was to ever work, Canada and central America was a big part of that. Americans don't want $25 strawberries and $50 t-shirts (we actually kinda do).
My company is starting to build the price increases into our products, fortunately our shyt is cheap CPG shyt, but you still gonna be annoyed when the 5-10 of our products you have in your crib now jump from $10 to $15.
The only reason why I can see he's doing this is one, he's a malignantly stubborn narcissist. But two, it's a deliberate wealth transfer and will drive income inequality even worse than it already is.

We were told to include pricing hypotheticals for now, which I know the business is going to bytch about as it will cut into their margins.
