I dont know about the "end of days" but I think we are headed for a real change in how the world works. There is so much unrest and conflict amongst almost all societies that a big shake up is inevitable.
Although I do believe in extraterritials I also believe if they have the technology to cross the universe they would not hide themselves.

there presence would be more clear. Unless the way they think is alien as well. also if aliens come to our planet it is either for resources or they are explorers. And in either case they would make there presence known to humans.

i usually think of the word alien used to describe the sky friends as a new age word for demon
maybe they arent so friendly after all and its just a guise to receive worshipjust because i can squash ants and spiders doesnt mean i just constantly do it only if i must will i consider it...as a seemingly superior being i can also see that their existance plays a part in life as well as mine does
if a pack of wild dogs runs up on you even though you know advanced mathmatics and are currently studying to become an engineer that doesnt mean your going to conquer them
while in their fancy vehicles flying about they seem immortal but if they were walking up to you un armed maybe that isnt the case at all
you miss my point not so much in conquering us but with there tech what fear would they have from us.
