2013 Juicy J has no expectations of selling big numbers to even quantify anything he does to be a flop, unless it was insanely low Kreyshawn type number...honestly don't think it would've mattered when they released the album in relation to Bandz...Blurred Lines was a number one pop record in the country for like 2 months straight damn near with corporate sponsers that had it serve as the theme song to major corporate roll outs... and Robin Thicke ain't clear 200k first week...the current incarnation of Juicy J is something roughly approximating a mixtape trap (party anthem) rapper...all things considered, I'm betting he's feeling blessed

There's a reason why ain't a soul on here even thought beforehand to ponder what he'd do his first week before the sh!t dropped on some "OMG is Juicy J gonna flop " shyt

Big singles are their own markers of success, independent of album sales...Bandz being a hit that resurrected his entire career > an arbitrary extra 35K copies sold first week from the album...don't understand this backsward thinking where people hold big singles against acts like they're some type of liability instead of an asset

It definitely mattered. That's when his popularity was at its highest. If he can do 70 now he could have easily cleared 100 or maybe mid 90s back then.

he didn't have another single after "bandz" , if he had another one he woulda done semi-decent, he woulda made his own lane in tha ratchet club category (Future, YG, Jeezy, etc)

but tha rest of his album is mostly generic trash, "bouncin" sounds similar to "bandz" but only worse

You thinking of Project Pat? Juicy J aint never been fat. And the reason ppl sort of scoff at those numbers is b/c his buzz is relatively gone, and had he dropped that song at the peak of BAndz Make her dance, he probably sells double that.
