Yes the hell they can. As much as I love SD, they have become known as the rematch show. We see a match and then we see a segment where the losing wrestler as Adam & Sonya for a rematch next week. They could be doing a lot more with the 2hrs they have.

Story line wise I always thought of Kofi as the leader and most main event of the new day

You can see this happening from a mile away. Lashley destroyed Woods, is going to do the same to Kofi and then Big E comes in to fight for his homies. Wouldn't be surprised if we see THB get some return burn to fight off Woods and Kofi during the buildup for Big E and Lashley.

Raw is 3 hrs long whereas SD is 2... if they had an equal amount of guys, SD would suffer from not having enough time to fit half of their roster on the show. They can barely fit the amount of people they have now every week.

I wonder... if even before the draft... E could win MITB and then cash in to face Lashley at SummerSlam... itd be an easy way to cross him over without havin to wait for the draft... and the MVP promo would be priceless...

If the group had a leader, it would definitely be him. They definitely see him as Big Bro/OG. However, if nothing else, they've shown that they legit see a win for one as a win for all. Remember that backstage segment where Kofi basically gave Big E the "It's your turn now" speech when both Kofi and Xavier were out due to injury? That basically kicked off Big E's push to the IC title. So it wouldn't be that far fetched.

This. It literally exists because the boss' previously hand-picked champion failed to win the WWE Championship on multiple tries and the show "needed" a championship.

Still think there should be just one World Champion that floats (especially during the pandemic days since there was no travel) between brands but alas.

My only issue with Big E winning the belt at say Summerslam is that we wouldn't get Lashley vs. Roman in the champion vs. champion match at Survivor Series

Yep, SD story wise is still good but the rematches are a problem, SD was 2 hours in 2016 and they didn’t have this issue.

Maybe so, but in present day whatever title Reigns holds is the premier title. Right now the Universal Championship holds more relevance and prestige, which is why Fox wanted it in Smackdown….which is the top show right now.
