This might seem kinda odd comin' from a die hard laker fan, but on top of that im a basketball fan and enjoy discussin' the history of the game and where various teams fit historically speaking

with the addition of ray allen is this the most talented team ever?

Lebron - speaks for himself
Wade - finals mvp , top 5 player when healthy
Bosh - highly underrated, great shooter
Allen - possibly the best pure shooter ever, only reggie miller challenges that title

that's 4 bonifide hall of famers, with some good complimentary players on top of that

Battier - clutch and great defender
Mario Chalmers - getting better
Udonis Haslem - mister intangible

---

The only teams I can think of that might hold a candle to this team talent wise is...

the Lakers of the 80s with Kareem, Magic, Worthy, Green, Scott, Cooper

the Celtics of the 80s with Parrish, Bird, McHale, DJ

Maybe the 64-65 Cs with Bill Russell, Sam Jones, John Havlicek, Tom Sanders and Tom Heinsohn

and of course the 71-72 Lakers with Gail Goodrich, Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Jim McMillian and Happy Hairston

---

I am by no means ever gonna be a band wagon jumper, but ya this team has immense talent and Pat Riley is a masterful architect

This season is going to be really exciting

Once people start using the word "Dynasty" to describe the Heat you might be onto somethin.

I'm not really ready to call them a dynasty, hell i think if the Lakers get DHoward and a few more pieces we'll have a better team, that being said though, i was just pondering the number of all star caliber/hall of fame players they have right now. i should probably have said ONE of the most talented, not THE most.. so i chose the wrong wording

they got 4 HoF players though and I'm not sure the lakers with the Glove and Mailman count cause they were on life support by then; but the Lakers of '87, the 80s Cs and a few other teams people mentioned (knicks, older cs, older 60s lakers, etc), that's still a handful of teams out of the history of the NBA, it's easily fair to say this is a top 10 most talented team in NBA history

but ya i hear you and hell ya the Lakers are back Showtime 2012!

word i hear you, im not saying they are the best TEAM.. the best team was the 72-10 bulls IMHO, im just saying they are immensely talented

they have 4 HoF players that has to say something, most teams have 2 and possibly 3.. obviously the celtics of the 60s had like 10 but yea.. that was the 60s, bballers today would obliterate the vast majority of 60s talent

If this is your criteria then Kobe, Shaq, Payton, Malone>>>>

*But we all know why this "logic" is flawed*

Most of y'all don't feel right agreeing to someone. I don't mind agreeing with the OP on Bosh being a HOF.
