Are there certain songs from the past PC/ Cancel culture ruined for you?

Eminem’s first 3 albums can’t be played in public outside of the edited singles :snoop:
But that was the point. It seemed like he was aware when he was saying the wrong thing. He definitely alluded to the reactions to his words.

That being said, I literally haven't listened to 'Kim' since the year the album was released, it's really unpleasant.

I mean Ren had a whole verse tawmbout getting head from a 14 year old :scust:

I grew up on that damn R. album. That loomed so large over my 6th and 7th grade years. "If I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time" "I Believe I can Fly", "When A Woman's Fed Up", "Home Alone"! Man, those were like music I was raised to. Take it a step further, and we have "Fiesta", "I Wish", and the B sides, Bad Man, Gotham City. "Be Careful", another classic.

When I was just going out with girls I could barely talk to, I was watching R Kelly at that damn phone booth.

I just can't really listen to it anymore. I play his hook on Street Dreams (Remix) and that's about it. I listen to "We Ride" too.

I mean I definetly notice and would say "yeah they wouldnt let this fly now" but I never cringe cause i get the time

In fact nowadays people overpolice lyrics in reviews even when its not misogynistic but they just dont like what they say

nah, it makes me wanna listen to that Styles P joint even more now. Hip hop was numb for me for a while without any shock factor when that was the whole point of it in the first place. As soon as i played Styles P song and a couple of other NWA joints in front of my 13 yr old's friends and saw their reaction, it reignited the flame and restored the "Feeling" :blessed:

We need more "Shock factor", push it to the edge songs again in hip hop :wow:

No, I actually appreciate art. I don't have to like a song to appreciate its contributions to its space.

I can understand outgrowing certain subject matter due to maturity, but there’s no way in hell I’m gonna let some people on Twitter dictate what I should listen to
