I'm thinkin through a project and wanted to ask a few questions to see if it makes sense.

Simply put...

Do any of yall have any favourite spots in yall's city, but find them hard to access because they only have on location and its too far away?

For example, lets say there is a bakery that sells the best cookies, or a spot that sells the best patties, but its like a 45 minute drive and using uber eats is too cumbersome.

If so, if lets say those cookies, or patties or whatever were made available at your local gas station, convenience store, grocery store etc...would you buy them and how frequently?

I'm def a foodie through n through
But I would worry about freshness if bought at a gas station
Also gas station should not be off the highway, I don't stop for those.
I went to amsterdam and some gas stations sold weed flower and pre-rolls

Layout the scope of your project, it's not like the morons on here have the capacity to steal the concept, hell you will get negative feedback and that will mean you have a highly lucrative project on your hands

If it’s available at a gas station, it ain’t something to be a “foodie” over.

Whether that’s true or not, that will be the hurdle you will have to overcome because that’s what people will think. Prepackaged food will be of less quality and therefore less desirable.

That and eventually scaling to that level tends to impact quality. Might be dependent on the product however.

I think your model is flawed based simply on fresh food and gas station food are near polar opposites.

In San Diego lots of far out vendors sell at grocery stores already (for example you can get Julian pies at Ralph’s - our version of Krogers) so from the little you’ve provided, this model kind of exists already.

Uber Eats has done this in my area but I forget what they call it. There's basically kitchens restaraunts can rent out. A pop up shop for restaurants if you will. Only delivery tho

For sure ya
Baked goods and patties have a short shelf life. So it would need reliable, possibly daily, delivery and to several gas stations.
Would also need legal as it would have to comply with all food handling, packaging, and labeling regulations.

I would say start with one or two products in a few locations to test demand and logistics as a pilot.
Do some research and invest in packaging that preserves freshness and highlights the original brand.

I would like Burritos from my fav place with Bam bam shrimps

lemme drum up a few examples

most grocery stores sell the following:
- Ice cream
- Manufactured cookies (oreos), and the softer, gourmet farmers market type cookies
- frozen pizzas
etc.

lets say you could grab pints of ice cream from a local favourite at your local grocery store...would you?
lets say you could grab freshly baked cookies or even packaged cookies from your local bakery at yor local grocery store...would you?
lets say the hottest pizza shop that always has lineups and doesnt deliver to your neighborhood sold frozen pizzas at your grocery store...would you cop?

Can't tell you how many times I wanted to eat somewhere in Harlem only to settle for somewhere to eat much closer to home :mjlol:

When I lived in NYC I was on meds that made me sedated AF and I took a nap basically everyday, can't tell you how many times I wanted to go a fried fish spot in Harlem (I lived in Brooklyn) for lunch but I just couldn't muster up the energy to take a long trip on public transportation without eating a meal first :mjcry:

There are restaurants here in Florida I haven't been to because they are just too troublesome to travel to on public transit.

i have a way around this issue even for fresh foods that i may not reveal. but lets say this fish spot through a co-branding agreement or suppliers agreement sold pre-packaged meals at a local grocer/restaurant/convenience store or whatever...would you cop?

fish might be tough...but for shyt like sandwiches and what not i think it might could work...especially in densely populated areas
