All these shoes would be considered ugly if they were released in 2018. People only rock casual shoes and hate "clunky" designs now. Not me, but thats how most of ya'll are...

uhhhhh thats not true at all, the "in" shoes mostly have clunky designs (check the designer brands, Adidas, as far as casual/fashion wear not actual athletic wear, These 90s designs of Nike kicks are GOAT. I think its a mixture of Nike stepping away from that format due to costs and material, once the "Freeruns" started selling, the "in" thing was lightweight comfy casual shoes, clunky designs making and made a comeback but the ones coming out now are booty status

Combination of lots of things: They really started the trend of “new designs” and looks for sneakers and were willing to take a risk on them, they also paid the most for their designers once they knew they had a hit, which now they don’t. That and their big designers either eventually went to competitors or retired.
Same thing happens to every growth company who really changes the world when they take off (Apple)
