It's a blessing in disguise...I'd be completely estatic if they can bring Lovie here.
the main reason are season was so busted was all the injuries...i think we will be alot better next season

Nope, if the job was RIGHT, at least one of them would have taken it.
Like I said in my first post….O’Brien was DIRECTLY advised not to take the job, and as that link to the CBS Philly story confirms, there’s a LEAGUE-WIDE negative perception about Howie Roseman which is preventing other coaches from wanting to take the job.
Has nothing to do with them wanting to return to college in this instance...if that was the case they never would have interviewed in the first place. As the CBS article reports, Chip Kelly’s main point of contention was not having enough say in the personnel decisions.
And that’s a GREAT and extremely fair point….like, who the fukk wants to coach somewhere where (1) the GM might be trying to upstage you, and (2) you got no say-so in the players you want for YOUR system (last time I checked, a GM doesn’t call plays).
As long as Lurie continues to keep Roseman in there, we’re gonna pay for it.
Watch us end up with some tired retread for this VERY reason.
(*awaits announcement of Norv Turner signing as HC* )
Take Gus Bradley, please.
Any manager would be stupid to turn down the eagles job. They're 2 OL away from being superbowl contenders
they're gonna hire chan gailey
Chip Kelly? Turned them down.
Bill OBrien? Turned them down.
Brian Kelly? Turned them down.
Their biggest targets all rejected them....Lurie's Plan A, B AND C. Even Gruden, when questioned about his interest, said he had zero interest in coaching the Eagles, according to Sal Pal.
So they started panicking, and these candidates you see now are the result of that. Why else would they interview Lovie Smith and consider him a VIABLE finalist candidate?
Now reports are that they spoke to Brian Billick last week:
See, heres whats REALLY happening:
Bill OBrien, who is still very close to Bill Belichick from his days as an assistant in New England, was TOLD in no uncertain terms by Belichick not to go work for Howie Roseman, as Howie has a reputation around the league for being a fukk nikka (fukk cracka?) who will attempt to usurp your authority at every turn in order to make himself look good, especially since Lurie inexplicably thinks Roseman is some type of genius.
So ONCE AGAIN, as I said in my Ten Point Plan to Fix The Eagles thread .Lurie should have fired Howie when he fired Reid. Now we gon be stuck with some retread ass clown .
I'm glad they turned us down, I don't want college coaches. Lurie and Roseman are dumb and dumber. Its pretty clear our 00's success was based off of great talent that literally fell into our hands and Reid having a great coaching staff to carry him.
