Chip Kelly? Turned them down.
Bill O’Brien? Turned them down.
Brian Kelly? Turned them down.
Their biggest targets all rejected them....Lurie's Plan A, B AND C. Even Gruden, when questioned about his interest, said he had “zero interest” in coaching the Eagles, according to Sal Pal.
So they started panicking, and these candidates you see now are the result of that. Why else would they interview Lovie Smith and consider him a VIABLE finalist candidate?
Now reports are that they spoke to Brian Billick last week:
See, here’s what’s REALLY happening:
Bill O’Brien, who is still very close to Bill Belichick from his days as an assistant in New England, was TOLD in no uncertain terms by Belichick not to go work for Howie Roseman, as Howie has a reputation around the league for being a fukk nikka (fukk cracka?) who will attempt to usurp your authority at every turn in order to make himself look good, especially since Lurie inexplicably thinks Roseman is some type of genius.
So ONCE AGAIN, as I said in my “Ten Point Plan to Fix The Eagles” thread….Lurie should have fired Howie when he fired Reid. Now we gon’ be stuck with some retread ass clown….

Now reports are that they spoke to Brian Billick last week:
The Eagles, who have cast a net as wide as Roosevelt Boulevard, interviewed Billick last Monday, an NFL source said. The meeting, first reported by CSNPhilly.com, took place near Billick's Maryland home and lasted about eight hours.
Since that interview, the Eagles have sat down with three other candidates: Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly, former Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith, and Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.
