Are the Celtics the deepest team in the NBA?

These teams that y'all are mentioning are deep but not as talented as the Lakers, Heat, OKC. Clippers bench is overrated. Crawford and Billups are good but they both pretty much bring the same thing to the table at this point of their career. I don't expect much from Odom either.

How exactly is it overrated?

They've got a great bench. Offense/defense savviness, balanced scoring and two/three playmakers. They've got enough experience there to gel fairly quickly with the limited minutes they'll get as a unit.

Odom will be better than last season.

Nope the clippers are

Celtics got a bunch of marginal cats

:childplease:

But seriously, the Celtics bench is at least the 3rd best in the league at worst, they got a lot of youth and potential, and the improvements in the offseason make them contenders for the 'ship as much as any other team. The Celtics got younger and more versatile, I expect a more uptempp offense.

Yu can't expect everybody to reach expectations and why will Odom be any better?

Expectations from whom exactly? When do expectations of individuals as a collective ever result as expected?

Let's see: he was the 2011 6th man of the year and fell off in dramatic fashion last season from all the shyt that happened behind the scenes + was thrown in at the deep end, on a team whose offense was entirely different to the one he was previously on. He went from being the best 6th man in the league to amongst one of the worst (all within one season). He had a productive off-season + adequate time learning the Clippers system + he's only 32. He was pretty much at rock bottom last season, I think it's safe to say he's gonna be better.

being better and being productive are two different things.
