Absolutely not.
There are better minimalist looking watches out there with better quality.

Good sub $1000. They get hate because they are a bit over-saturated. But I've had 2 and they are solid build quality mixed with eye-catching style. If you're a serious collector I wouldn't make it the cornerstone of my collection however.

It was THE 90's watch...but its quartz, so if you know anything about watches, you know the price you pay for any one of them is ridiculously insulting. Unique look, but then people realized how completely useless it was. Sure its a style piece, but people wanted more precision, added features, better glass, etc. Don't pay anymore than $300, get a small piece for the nostalgia and unique look, but its not a brand I dive into. At this point a $300 Casio Edifice looks sexier. Even Seiko makes better looking and functioning pieces at the same prices. Worth it? No, you shouldn't be paying crazy prices for a Movado.

Citizen, Seiko, Casio, Orient, Tudor, Bulova are much better investments.

I've gotten 2 and loved them both, got one 6 years ago and the newest one is about 3 years old.

They are nice "respectable" watches to wear to go out, everyday people and women compliment me on them but the watch conoisseurs and hypebeasts scoff at them. They only put respect on stuff like Rolexes, APs, etc
Yeah, I have a few and I love them. Never heard anything but compliments on them.

Watch snobs look down on them for being "fashion" watches and being overpriced but somehow a $10,000+ Rolex or Omega is worth it because of the movement. Let's be real and practical: you're buying a piece of metal for your wrist to see what time it is. Does it really need to be waterproof up to 100M for all the deep sea diving you're doing? Does the time need to be eternally precise because you're on a Navy SEAL team coordinating attacks? The arguments about these things is ridiculous, especially when you're talking about the price of a new automobile for a WATCH.

I’d pass. The old designs were nice. I remember the brand being like a middle class status symbol, back in the day, but most of the current designs are ugly and many of them just look cheep and trendy. You can probably get something nicer looking for half the price.

@Yinny check their Factory Store website for deals: Shop All Men's Watches

They're always having sales. If you sign up for their email list, you'll get 25% off your first purchase. Even without the email promo, they have extra 25% or more off on a fairly regular basis.

Here's a nice looking one that's $300 before the extra 25% off: Movado | Movado Company Store |Men's Movado Collection watch, 39mm stainless steel case and link bracelet

that’s probably the only watch on their site that I think is worth paying for. I wish they’d bring back some of these designs from the 90’s.
