There’s still plenty of old faced, stressed out, shell shocked looking millenials out there. I don’t think this article is all that accurate. GenZ is just as health conscious as us millenials. And plenty of millennials used to do lean, smoke, drink. This is more about classism than anything. We Millennial ain’t special. This is that passed down boomer “40 is the new 20” narcissism coming out in these bullshyt articles. :mjlol:

Millennials are doin that same bullshyt boomers were doing in the late 90s with that “we’re still young and look fabulous” bullshyt. :mjlol:
Folks are lying to themselves so they can feel like they still got it from lates teens early 20s lol. Like dudes who say they’re balding because they’ve rocked fitted for too long lmao

This is a good point too. We kinda had to at least fake it til we make it. GenZ don’t give a fukk. And that can be a good thing.
I think it is a good thing but that lack of caring does make some of them look a lot older.

I don't see as many baby faces with Gen z that I use to see when Millenials were the same age.

But it could be the dress as well. Millenials had a lot of fun fashion that was colorful and child like. Gen Z likes comfort and can dress a bit old for their age.

You right and I’m a little shook cuz there’s a white woman in my practice who is literally 30ish yrs older than me who is still obsessed with looks and all that (of course we all have to remain presentable at all ages but it’s like she literally thinks she’s like 20yrs younger than she is).

She was talking to a patient who is similar in age and said “yea but we still look good!” And the patient said “we think we do”.
You could hear a pin drop lol

But she was basically saying how there wasn’t a need to obsess over looks like they did when they were younger because that phase has passed. I do think it’s a little different because white women age worse than us, but yea. Talk about perspective.

But yea millennials need to stop and make sure we don’t treat the younger generations the way we were treated. Even my own elders were going on and on about “millennials” this and that!

And this is a class thing, too. If you can afford beauty treatments/products and invest in workout equipment/gym memberships you’re going to look better, longer.

Hell I haven’t gotten a chemical peel in years and I still say that was the best thing I did for my skin hands down. Never had bad skin but that totally elevated my skin. But I had those series of treatments because I could afford them :manny:

This is really it. It’s the presentation.

I’m actually surprised at how many ppl rock sweats and crocs and shyt.

I was raised to never wear athletic wear outside the gym, especially not kicks. If it wasn’t heels it was cute flats with jeans and a cute top.

Folks just look frumpy nowadays. Fashion was life. Ionno wtf is going on.

I said it before, but this is the easiest time. Competition is not high. Work out, dress nicely and don’t be an a$$hole and people are amazed lol

The last paragraph I say all the time as well but in regards to the ability to move up professionally. Not only are people dressing lazy but being lazy in general. Super easy to move up professionally. You literally just have to try.

Millennials at one point, and still to an extent, were concerned with making things look perfect. They go out of their way to give a nice presentation.

Gen Z is a bit more grungy and is the "take me as I am" generation.

So millennials just keep up with themselves better in general, so they are going to do more things to keep them looking nice.

But yes, there are some old looking Gen z running around.
Gen Z generally is more stressed due to living on the internet. Stress plays a large role in aging.

We millennials hit the sweet spot on growing up before the internet and witnessing the growth of the internet.

We're more conscious of our fashion choices. We understand that image plays a huge role in perception.

Looking young is easy though. Collagen supplements are known as the fountain of youth

I agree. We're the only generation that knows how to live in both worlds.

This

I’m from the Bay and from childhood, I was taught to stay dipped everywhere you go no matter what. Need to go to CVS at 2:30 in the morning? You better make sure your pajamas are fresh to death.

These kids nowadays look like they just rolled out of bed with their white Air Force 1’s that turned yellow and creased like a muthafukka.

@Gloxina

She's 29 :heh: :dead:

They shredded her in thr comments. I honestly thought she was 50 y/o.

GTFOH!

I was gonna say she still looks old for 36 (sorry).

Twenty fukking nine?

What is going on with Gen Z? I literally rolled out of bed freshfaced at 29 with NO issues.

She literally looks like a 53YO patient at my office. And she’s a cool ass chick. But she literally looks like this. WOW!

Man I love being Black.

Justine Skye is 28, as a reference. It’ll take yeeeeeeears before she looks anything close to this girl.

Shyt like this makes me want a consult with a plastic surgeon. I didn’t realize how vain I was but nah man.

I got carded by a casino in Washington 2 years ago, i was 36 and I had a mask on. I don't know if were aging slower, but if that's the case there has to be some major factor that's the cause
