Are Democrats finally going to stop running on a "At least we ain't Trump" campaign?

I can go crazy quoting stuff, but you are validating the low information voter stigma.

They had policies. They were publicly posted. The fukking polled well! The people overwhelmingly went Trump to punish Dems for what they perceived as a poor economy. Mr. “Concepts of a plan” offered nothing tangible but he spoke loudly on things people were mad about. You dont need research to be mad. You need research to know a platform. It was there but it was rejected.

Typical response from a Democrat

"If you don't agree with me, you are dumb and uninformed". And you wonder why you are losing votes. Can't continue to go to the route of telling people what they should want, instead of what they actually want

And there you go mentioning Trump again, can't help yourself

Impeaching and prosecuting Trump backfired very badly. It gained nothing positive, and now we have this 80 year old demented felon as president for 4 more years.

Yeah inflation has been the Democratic Party’s kryptonite. People don’t care about the other stuff they’re offering if they’re struggling to afford necessities.

Thats a good observation by the poster

Kamala's fundamental flaw was that she is limp wristed, like 98 percent of women.

She bends over quickly to the will of others.

Her brother in law convinced her to drop an anti big business narrative on the trail. Yea her sister's brother.

She still should have held her own and told him to fukk off.

You have to have that sort of fortitude to compete for these positions.

Have conviction in your beliefs, even if you are wrong.

Voters might have given the Democrats a pass on the economy. If they hadn't combined that with a wide open border. Now you're just asking people to vote against you.

When you blatantly thumb your nose at voters with such an unpopular policy. You're just asking to get smacked.

Trump ain't running again :skip:

and truthfully I don't think it matters. The 2024 presidential election was about picking the last president of the usa. At least it won't be some non-white at the helm as this shyt ends.

The Democrats don't have a real base and really have not had one since the Nixon southern strategy of the 60s. Basically Republicans became the party of southern evangelical christians and took that base from the Democrats. That is a real base that the Republicans can always count on even Trump had to win them over.

What Democrats have had since the 70s is a loose, dynamic, make shift coalition made up of people with completely different goals. Without that real foundation of a proper base they need anomalies like Bill Clinton and Obama to carry the party.

Republicans have the license to shape shift and absorb demographics you wouldn't expect because of that large, stable evangelical base.

Not a Democrat (not lying, I just don't need to align with a party to vote in Chicago).

You said that, not me. I did not lose votes. I don't tell people what they should want. Trump was her opponent.

The fact is, the race is one candidates platform vs the other. They were not the same. There was a public platform that polled well. Whether it was child tax credit extension, or home health care taken care of by medicare, expansion of eligible drugs for price negation via Medicare, housing assistance, etc.

None of this was secret. To claim there was no platform is to feign ignorance or to be ignorant, and ignorant is not an inherently bad word, nor is calling someone a low-information voter. If PUBLIC information that had months to marinate is not known, you had to go out of your way to miss it.

Mind you, most people do not pay attention to politics outside of a few weeks before elections. Like, literally after Labor day.

Democrats talk more about Trump and the Republicans then their own party and wonder why they lost :francis: .

Instead of asking why they lost, and how they can come back in 2028, its just "Trump Trump Trump" fear monger shyt. That same arrogance is gonna have Vance as Pres in 28/32, keep it up...But i guess they're gonna champion abortions, illegal immigrants using their hard earned resources, and the 🌈 community for the foreseeable future instead of advocating strong household families consisting of Man, woman, and child :picard:

It's quite sad tbh. :coffee:
