People are really gonna not give Russell Wilson credit for being a Super Bowl champion? Cam no credit for this year?

They are in their 4th and fifth year, one is a probable mvp, the other is already a super bowl champion. They are playing better than any other qb their age.

They both play with a "modern"style for this age. Comparing them to the greats of the previous decade isn't so ridiculous.

However, Brady is in year 16. It's not 4 game regular season stretches that made these guys great. It's consistency. If Russ and cam have that kind of consistency, the nfl will get my viewership for anther decade.

They both have stable organizations and have proven they can win and do well without weapons even at this early stage in their career. Cam's won a national championship, heisman, and is about to win mvp and go undefeated. Wilson had arguably the greatest first three years a qb ever has. They have all the arm talent in the world coupled with top tier athleticism and durability and have both proven theyre leaders at a young age.

I dont see whats the problem :yeshrug: Someone has to be the next top qb, I think its gonna be them

Breh Russel Wilson is a nice qb but to compare him to all time greats is insane

The chances even cam is top 5 all time is extremely slim.

Brady and manning don't come around often

The only qb currently I can say is definitely gonna end his career top 5-10 besides Brady and Manning is Rodgers

Breh, Peyton's only top 5 as a result of playing in the easiest era for qbs, numbers like the ones that made him an all time great are only going to get easier to accumulate.

Brady has the hardware so I cant say he isnt top 5.

"they don't come by often" but they really do. Every era has two or three hall of famers that when they retire everyone places them highly in all time debates. It's going to happen again, and Cam and Russ are the most likely candidates.

So Peyton is a result of this easy era but cam and Russel are just great on their own :mjlol: I agree the era is easier then ever for qb's I think Marino would destroy today's league for instance but be consistent. If you're gonna say the era helps Peyton u have to say it helps them too

And as I said there is another all time great now it's Rodgers

:ohhh: Honestly nobody in the league has a shot to break Peyton records outside of Rodgers and he pretty much started his career to late to really have a chance. And this is the easiest time for passing, let's act like Peyton career started post 05

They don't have to be Manning and Brady, they can be Cam and Russell. The NFL is changing. And they represent that change in my opinion. They're the new prototype for where the NFL is going. Inside the NFL and viewership wise.

People want to see dual threat quarterbacks. As a fan, I love knowing that Cam can kill people both ways. Russ too. And it makes the games more fun to watch. I'm sure it helps out on offense too. You got Cam basically playing two positions as a high level.

They are the new prototype. And I want to see that across the NFL. I'd even throw Luck and Jameis in there as well. Passing QBs and can run. Rodgers too.

Stationary, unATHLETIC QBs are a thing of the past.

They don't have to do the things that Brady and Manning could do on the field. They can do their version of it, and still be as successful.

Cam's defense is already in place for the next 5 years as long as they find a replacement for Thomas Davis.

Wait till over the next 2-3 years when they get an explosive running back. Olsen also needs to be replaced eventually. Cam with real weapons will a generational QB.

For all the shyt we gave Carolina for not helping Cam they built the team to be successful for the long haul. Hell, Philly Brown will be a beast in the slot with the twin towers on the outside.

We can say yes,.....

All because Russell has a superbowl ring and an additional trip and Cam is having a standout regular season.
Just like how they used to praise manning.
before he won against the bears in the conflict of interest bowl.

So, I can say yeah,.....russ and cam are the new manning and Brady.

Good thread content and title idea

Cmon man :dame:

If we're talking about the Manning/Brady era then everything that comes with that discussion is in the context of that era. Wilson and Cam wouldnt be putting up the numbers they were if they were in an earlier era. Neither would Brady and Manning. Thats not what this is about.

In the context of today's NFL, what russ and cam are doing without competent weapons is impressive. If Cam can score 40 touchdowns with ted ginn and cotechery as his #1 and 2 receivers, imagine what could he do with prime Marvin Harrison and Wayne.

Theyre doing great things that other qbs their age almost never do. Theyre looking like elite players without any real playmakers around them helping them. They have the mobility that the game is starting to require from the quarterback position. Unless they both fall of a cliff they're gonna be the next great qbs.

:ohhh: Honestly nobody in the league has a shot to break Peyton records outside of Rodgers and he pretty much started his career to late to really have a chance.

they said that about Marino's record too

If Peyton does retire at the end of the year and Brady can put together around 3 more seasons of similar play he can break some of them

shyt with the coming of Jaemis Cam.may not even dominate his division, The Bucks will.be something serious offensively in 3 years, That Lovie defense on the other hand :francis:

Jameis won't be good enough to supplant Cam. Cam's taking that division over if his current form is what he's going to be in the future. Jameis too reckless with his decision making and the Panthers are going to be surrounding Cam with more weapons now.
