Pedophilia is specifically about prepubescent children. A 16 year old boy or girl is not prepubescent. There are other terms for people who are only attracted to postpubescent younger teens, etc.

I understand that as well, but that's where my mention of human's not being "primal" points to in my previous post to the quoted one. The same way animals teach their young how to hunt and act how their species should to survive, is the same way human's raise their young into adulthood.
If most individuals were living life like savages with no guidance then I would agree with this thread but that's not the case. The "government" did not prevent most people from sleeping with whoever. There are rules and laws. The same way we have laws like gravity etc, humans live by laws too and having sex with kids is inhumane.
We used to marry and have babies with 14 year olds in this nation not too long ago. They do it all over the world.

There are many things that were done in the past that human being have evolved from doing. Are you implying that the cultural system that frowns on you for having sex with children causes unnatural behavior if the child looks like an adult?
How about if a man looks like a woman? Looks can be deceiving, but we have brains and minds. Looks are not a strong enough basis to make the bold statement that all men are pedophiles. Attraction is deeper than seeing a child that is developed.
This was because our average lifespan back in the day was much shorter, you were lucky to reach the age of 30 if you were a man and women died during child birth all the time. I think we can agree that our society is much different today, kids had to grow up very quickly in the old times but now things have changed and we're living to be much much older and it seems the developmental process has been extended. I think we've all talked to some 18 year old girls before who still seem very childlike in their demeanor.
