Nigeria and Ethiopia both have potential

Nigeria needs to root out corruption, develop a national ethos and spread the wealth and they'll be on their way

Ethiopia needs democratic reforms, more political transparency and a more inclusive national image in order to reduce the feelings of marginalization by certain ethnic groups.
Lol...if your talking about Amharas political dominance, that's long been diminished. The Tigray Liberation front now controls Ethiopia. It's a party that only represents 8 Percent of Ethiopias population. Both Amharas and Oromos are getting the short end of the stick. The problem with Oromos getting power is that there is still a strong seccessionist sentiment amongst Oromos not to
mention Oromos are incredibly diverse and tribalism is a problem.
I mean we have a people with so much phenotypical diversity, we have Oromos who have Nilotic origins like Mengistu Hailimariam and we have Oromos who are descendants of Habesha highlanders like Bulcha Safo. We have Oromos who still practice Religions of their forefathers and Oromos who've embrace highlander Christianity and Islam. It's the reason why Oromo became powerless a few hundred years ago as there were so many factional infighting. In fact Shewa/Wollo Oromos played an important role in the Amhara regime. Just imagine Somali clannism times a million

Nigeria isn't fukked. Nigeria's GDP per capita is the same as India's and far higher than either Ethiopia's or Somalia's. Name me a Muslim African country that isn't fukked.

Senegal
Morocco
Algeria

Oromo has both religions in a large percentage. However your info is no where to be found.

Why are you ashamed of your ethnicity, nationality? Stop wasting my precious time.

If your religion divide you as a people then you are - fukked
If your nationality cannot unite you as a people beyond your ethnic affiliation you are - fukked

Europeans has succeeding in dominating the world for two basic reasons
1. Is because the have used religion to achieve Functional Unity when dealing with non European peoples....by classifying themselves as Christian and White.
Europeans are only white when dealing with non European peoples. Among themselves they remain ethnic and national rivals economically and politically.
2. Is not relevant here.

European Functional Unity known as White Supremacy/Racism has birth a reactionary system among African peoples and in African Countries known as Pan Africanism (Black Consciousness) which threaten European hegemony with such Organizations as the OAU now the AU and its various Regional Organizations.
Pan Africanism as a political organization and or philosophy cannot achieve or maintain the cohesiveness of a unifying religious force among a diverse ethnic population. As a result Pan Africanism falls easy prey to subterfuge and interventions in its operations and processes.

Whether you are Muslim or Christian Matters Naught.
So Long as you remain ignorant of the fact that you are being persecuted and oppressed not for your religion or ethnicity but for being Non-European.

Have to disagree. It depends on the type of leaders.

Yes it is true leaders are important, but what is more important is the national mindset of the people from which the leader is to come....
If the leader comes before the people are ready....he or she will be yet another martyr.
When the people are ready then the leader will come.
Mao:- you must start where the people are......
If to the people the rivalry between Christian and Muslim is important.....then the hegemony of Western oppression will win
beCause to the powerful religion is useful

Read carefully what I said "It cannot achieve the TYPE (of a unifying religious force) of unity as a religious force"
That does not mean it can not achieve Functional Unity or even political unity or even economic unity.
Religion usually encompass every member of a family and or community whilst a political organization tend to draw only the politically thinking, radical , revolutionary minded among a people. Hence religion send down deep roots whilst political philosophies remains far and foreign till it effects are directly felt and known.

The Achilles heel of Pan Africanism is the Ease with which its enemies can penetrates its alliances and render then redundant.
Now here is why I say this Pan Africanism as the AU is has fell prey to Western intervention policies in all its Regional Organization except SADC ( to a minor degree)
Nigeria is presently Under attack because of its success using ECOMOG to rid West Africa of CIA asset Charles Taylor.
ECOWAS has failed in securing Laurent Gbagbo but has Allowed France to install yet another Western puppet Allassane Quattara

Last but not least I am a Pan Africanist so I believe in its aims and goals....my criticism is coming from wanting to preserve the AU and Pan Africanism
