He was a heel with Sid as his bodyguard. Sid turned on him the night after. Diesel turned face the fall before Mania then beat Backlund for the belt at a house show at MSG in 10 seconds then Michaels won the Rumble with the false elimination over British Bulldog.

Thats the problem Shawn in that rumble was very baby faceish to me... I remember all of this. I guess us being HBK fans looked at Diesel as the heel for betraying his BFF

In all honesty I don’t care about Roman reaching 1000 days as champion. Yeah it’s an incredible accomplishment and they will use that to inflate his legendary run but gotdamn…it’s been going on 4 years since Roman lost a singles match. 3 years since he’s been champion, 3 years in a row that he walked out of Wrestlemania holding both the damn belts! :damn:

Like damn…i don’t think you can make him more stronger than he already is.

The booking of Roman Reigns has been a gift and curse. On one hand he’s become a major box office attraction in wrestling, made the undisputed championship significant, prestigious and blessed us with one of the best storylines in wrestling history.

On the other hand, the rest of the men’s upper-mid card is suffering from it because they all been beaten, jobbed out with looking weaker in the process.

Injury aside Cody had the strongest booking of anyone else winning the Royal Rumble and getting over with the fans in a big way organically. The fans at Sofi and the majority of fans from what I see on the internets wanted to see a change but it didn’t happen.

If they do the Cody vs Roman rematch at Summerslam like I been seeing suggested in this thread? Oh ok cool. The moment will probably be less special but okay we got a new fresh babyface as champion.

Breh….if Roman goes another year holding both the belts again with him holding up again at Wrestlemania in Philly I’m done :dead::snoop:

I love Asuka and she's far better than almost every woman on the roster....with Bianca being the exception. Ain't no way her taking an L against Bianca was bullshyt. How could anyone watch that match and even consider that is beyond me.

Im going through certain comments on YouTube with people saying Bianca looked lost during the match and didn't deserve to win... saying how much of a horrible wrestler she is and how she was notching it up... did anyone else see this or where they just watching through cac colored glasses?

Yeah, must be cac vision for sure, cuz none of that shyt was present for Bianca during the match. In fact, I feel like Bianca worked better with Asuka than most other female wrestlers just due to the fact that she could actually keep up with her.

The one thing ppl need to keep in mind with this Roman shyt is that the Bloodline story was going nowhere until Sami got involved. Not a damn soul alive was sitting around talmbout this being a legendary storyline this time last year until the Sami shyt started. And Sami is the who was moving the TV numbers and house show numbers + CAWdy when he came back, was doing huge house show and merch business.

That's whats funny to me about the needle mover shyt.. it's actually these two who was really like that. And they both got pinned in the middle.

Shawn was superkicking the shyt outta Diesel by accident until Survivor Series. Looking back at it, they booked his face turn well. He won the Rumble, lost at Mania, reunites with his friend, gets turned on by said friend, eliminates old friend at the Rumble to win B2B then achieves the boyhood dream at Mania the next year. I can't see them building up like that until next year the same way.

It's only the 2nd Wrestlemania he's walked out of with both belts. The triple threat with Edge and Bryan was only for the Universal Championship.

That's true about Sami/Cody and their popularity but it takes two. I don't believe they are as popular if the foil isn't Roman Reigns. If Cody comes back from AEW and he's gearing up to face part timer Brock Lesnar... I'd say nobody cares.

Also, The Bloodline story was great when the focal point was Jey Uso vs. Roman. It was getting a bit stale until Sami Zayn got involved but all in all it's been good from the beginning.
