Running into Ariel Helwani of BT Sport in a hotel lobby, Sami Zayn was asked if he was headlining night one.
"That remains to be seen. I should (know), that's for sure, but I don't.....we'll see," he said.
When it was noted that Sami & Kevin vs. The Usos would be the first tag team match to headline WrestleMania since WrestleMania 1 when Hulk Hogan teamed with Mr. T to face Roddy Piper & Paul Orndorff, Sami said, "It is insane. If we do go on last, which remains to be seen. It would be the first time since WrestleMania 1 and it would be the first tag team title match of all time (to headline). That's something."
WWE has not officially announced the main event for night one of WrestleMania 39.

I don’t get this hate towards “part timers”.Roman only 2 months older than Cody......
Yet this dude already on some part time shyt even though he not even acting. Drop them straps breh
On one hand we say that wrestling needs an off season or they need to be able to take time off but when it happens now they are part timers?
Roman is on tv more than enough. He doesn’t need to do house shows or have random non title matches on raw and SD. Let the man have his few weeks off.

Naw. The Top guy doesn’t need to do the same things that everyone else does. This current gimmick is working because it’s him. The other guy was who Vince wanted him to be. He deserves to reap the rewards of his work these past few years.
Being there every week would not help him at all. It would have the Cena effect where you would be tired of him.
Enough of the part time shyt. When these belts come off Roman they need to be split and champions need to be full time. They don't have to wrestle every house show because no one does and don't have to wrestle every live show. But the heavyweight titles are the prize of both shows so the champions need to be on the shows in some way
They did well enough with Gunther and making that the main title considering everything, which probably shows he's ready for a main program more than anything. Theory's a little more rocky they saved enough of it though

If the company chose to get behind anyone else as the top guy, that person would have been successful too.

Being there week in week out isn’t going to have much of an effect if the product is being booked right. Top Guys have been on TV week in week out, since the 80s, from Hogan to Cena.

Hogan was not on tv every week because they didn’t have a live tv show. Hogan only showed up when it was time for a big 4 PPV or SNME
Austin and rock were on tv every week for what 3-4 years before Austin retired and Rock went to Hollywood.
Yes I can understand wanting to split the belts so each show can have a title but Roman is on tv a lot more than say a Brock or a fukking Logan Paul. Those guys are part timers.
You can’t just push anybody and expect them to get over. That’s on the talent, and y’all know this with all the failed runs we’ve seen over th years including Roman’s first few times at the top. Stop this. You think if they decided to push Chad Gable he would all of a sudden move the most merch and attract viewers from outside the bubble?
Y’all really think the average guy on the roster could be in Roman’s spot? Hell Sami ain’t even that guy and he’s been pushed through the moon the past few months.

I’m theory this doesn’t work but for the past two-3 years it has been working. The viewers and ticket sales aren’t going to go up substantially if your champ is on weekly TV. The TV shows only need to have good stories for people to watch. And again Roman is not a part timer like Goldberg, Brock or Logan Paul. Dude is on tv 2-3 out of 4 shows a month. Y’all act like he be off tv for months
Split the belts but Roman doesn’t need to be on TV like that to be effective since he’s the center piece of the best story in years. Yes it’s part the writing but the other part is him.
