I know he wasn't hurt vs Molina cuz when Lucas gets HURT he shows it...you see his body language change...his game plan change

I never had Molina winning or thought Lucas was in danger of losing...the fight was closer then it should of been N gets looked at a way cuz Matthysse was the favorite N fighting someone levels below him

I said the exact same thing before the Prov fight N Matthysse proved me right...he gets hurt N stops fighting gives away rds

I feel lucas didn't respect molina out the gate. he fought down to molina's level and he made the fight tougher than it should have been...but then he stepped on the gas and we were able to see the difference in levels before maKNEEsay finished him off. shyt happens.


yea lucas got hurt and he eased back. but that's not the same as "laying down".....if lucas laid down he woulda quit right then and there. he took a huge punch from a huge puncher. it wouldn't have been smart to stay there and let himself get hit more. he did exactly what every fighter does when they get hurt. they fall back, hold, do what they have to do til they recover. once lucas got his legs back he was back to trading shots. they landed the same amount of punches in the 12th round. he wasn't dominating prov like he was before but he was still taggin him. when I think of "lay down", I think of somebody quitting. and lucas has never shown any quit in him.

Why didn't the Matthysse from last night show up against an Old Judah, Garcia, or Alexander?

Maybe Provodnikov is more limited than all of em which allowed him to do that

Actually read some places that some fans are disappointed with the fight. Not sure what they expected. Lucas is in a different class than Provo, it's just that Provo's chin, power, stamina, & heart make him a threat against anyone at 140. He's gonna make you earn a win over him.

I think Rios-Provo is the type of fight those fans are looking for.

correct...and I knew that would happen....people think that they are equal fighters but they really are not. Prov is way overrated off of one fight really. Lucas WAS overrated off of one fight but after that he came back down to earth. so take out those 2 fights and look at each fighters resume. Lucas is better.

now...Lucas couldve stood there and slugged it out but that wouldve been stupid when he could box, punch and move. Lucas looking at bigger paydays, not to fight a stupid fight just to win FOTY awards but risk more physical damage and losing the fight.

Remember, AB was the King of 135 while Crawford didn't want any problems...and even though he is 3 years older than AB, he waited in the wings for AB to leave 135 before stepping up his opp

Crawford took the hard way up....he wasnt some hype job with manufactured marketing. Like they said, if it wasnt for Mikey, Crawford wouldnt have gotten his deal with TR. Remember when we wanted that fight at 135 but all we heard was....."who da fuq is Crawford?" well, we here now....and we fighting dangerous fighters, not seeking out sparring partners, light punchers, slow messicans, and espn rejects.

lucas would knock danny out if they ever fight again. lucas is the reason danny been avoiding power punchers since they fought. since that fight, danny has looked flabby and sick, and lucas looks stronger and better than ever. lucas may have lost the fight but he took a piece of danny's heart with him. that kid aint never gonna be the same again.

while I agree that Lucas looks good now, its only temporary. he looks good depending on who he is fighting. I think Danny beats him even more decisively next time. Its because he is more adept to fighting a guy like Lucas. and Lucas struggles with any semblance of boxing skill. Prov is terrible really. he is just a brute force fighter. he has no boxing ability. right now at 140....most of the guys are in the same class, it comes down to style match up.

Honestly, I think Dulorme will have been one of the tougher fights for Crawford. He will have more issues with a fast guy with a jab and movement than any other style. I would love Crawford vs Matthysse. I have no doubt he would look very good in that fight. If LM couldnt clearly beat the straight-lined Alexander, a past prime Zab, and got a career altering beating from Swift, I have no doubt we would have him cradled in his master's bosom.
