im loving it fwiw
I’m enjoying my time with it as well. I feel like Austin Butler needs to relax a little bit though. Everyone else feels like a natural in their roles while he’s still in that “too cool for school” Elvis state, lol.

Those accusations must’ve put a damper on the Fukunaga hype train because I haven’t heard much about him lately. There was a time when he was one of the more sought after directors in large part to his work on True Detective. Crickets ever since.

is Masters of the Air good?
i probably shouldn't say "it's not even close to the previous 2 mini-series" b/c i haven't seen them in years, but it's not even close. the lack of buzz for this show is wild. i don't know if it's b/c it's on apple or b/c most people agree.

it's mostly pretty good, but some shoddy cg and acting, no connection any characters through 3 episodes whatsoever. everyone kinda looks the same and outside of Elvis, who is still doing Elvis, the other lead, and Barry, who i thought was awful on this, everyone is pretty anonymous. not even in a "well, that's how war was, guys were expendable, etc" kinda purposeful way, they've given like 1 other character an identity. not to mention half the time they're all masked, so i guess they just said, "fukk it."

it's still something everyone should watch though, probably.

the lack of buzz is because of apple straight up

the leads simply ain't on the level as the guys from the other shows - but its also just unfair to think that they'd have a stellar cast on 3 separate entries separated by decades
