and Android is different somehow? Android 4 - 4.2 has somehow been game changing? They give yalll *small* incremental numbers w/ different code names and somehow the *stans* think they have a whole new OS ( but somehow Apple is getting over on people).

Yes, Apple is changing it's development schedule. This thread is proof as to why thats a good IDEA( Look at how many people are still on the 3G ) why not try to capture that market? with people coming off contract everyday, why not offer them something new? People forget that Apple is a Company, so you either :

1.) Follow the market
2.) Beat the market
2.) Fall behind the market( RIM??? Nokia??? )

Hate to break it to everyone, but most people just want a cell phone to talk/message/surf the net, they couldn't tell you the difference between the CPU & GPU, Apple could be arrogant and think those people are going to wait until October every year if they want too.

Its so funny, that History truely does repeat itself. The Cell phone market is following the same trend as the PC market back in the 90's, So Apple has been down this road before:

Android = Windows ( running on different Vendors hardware )
Apple = well Apple.

and We all see how well that worked out for Apple in the past. Me personally @ this point I agree with that Liquid thread, technology as a whole right now is boring me. The Cell phone market is stablizing now, I haven't seen any *Innovative features* that made me go "OMG I must have that @ all cost"

But Android - "BASED" devices come out damn near every week.. Come on, Apple can't afford to release 1 device a year( that whole premium device stuff is out the window ).

You have Amazon tablets, Nooks, Samsung,Android nexus tablets. that are being release every other month......but let Apple release 2 - 3 devices a year and now all of a sudden they are trying to get over.

True but the Galaxy Nexus/Galaxy S 3 are the only ones that matter to me, a converted iPhone stan
