I'm not sure this M4 is worth the price difference. With the M4 and M2 side by side the M2's screen looks solid. The M4 gets brighter. It's a little thinner and just barely taller to the point the older cases won't fit. I may just keep it because out of pocket I paid $670 after trading in a 2018 iPad Pro and the M2 was $650 out of pocket no trade in.

iPadOS is the death of this thing.

I waited around for this update but last month decided to get the 13.6 M3 MacBook Air instead and haven't looked back.

Yup. I remember buying an iPad Pro a couple of years ago. Sleek device but the functionality is too limited for me. Ended up returning it and just upgrading my 10-year old macbook.

I wish Apple would embrace a hybrid style device (touchscreen+keyboard+macOS) but I get why they won't. But truthfully, it would be the ideal "Pro" device.

I cannot justify the price of the M4. just grab an M1 or M2 off apple refurbished and u good to go.

we won't really get to see what M4 can even do until WWDC next month however.
