Battery is fine for me.

I take my phone off the charger at about 7 am and use it all throughout the day (mostly web browsing). No charges in between.

Then again I'm coming from a 4s which battery dropped at about 1 percent every minute so this is amazing to me.

the only reason I don't let mine die is because I hate having to enter my password instead being able to use touch id after a restart. Seems as if I'm always driving when it tells me to enter my pw, gets annoying
