Man I woke up to a text from tmobile saying my order is back ordered with no eta. I knew I should have just kept my apple order instead of listening to the two store rep smh. Really shows how poor tmo is, it's not even about phone coming late but more so how janky their systems are that made everything far worse than it should have been.

The store reps and phone reps seem clueless but dudes on macrumors are saying the backorder text is system generated automatically because the phone isn't physically in stock but still some dudes have a ship date so idk

Because it looks better to say "there's more demand than we can make" and to have sold out signs everywhere and news organizations running that story. It makes a hot product look even hotter because they can't keep them on the shelves. How many times have dudes in here mentioned the number of PS4's on the shelf vs the number of Xbox One's? Let's say Sony created less PS4's than Microsoft created Xbox's, one is going to look like the hotter product because it's always sold out

I ordered and canceled my order yesterday morning after the reported delays but ATT so backed up I still got my confirmation this morning by text saying I will get it my 5.5 by 11/27/14 (thanksgiving)

There's absolutely no way to see how much demand there is going to for a product.

Especially for a products that's going to be launched to hundreds of carriers in hundreds of countries

Maybe one of you cats can help me: So of course I got the confirmation order quickly from ATT yesterday but the order at that time, said VARINTANG 1, which I'm assuming means backordered right? Then later in the day that disappeared and it went to "Preparing to ship" but still with the 10/2-10/13 range. So is that BS or what? other forums have said that there's a chance it'll still be at my door on the launch date

Eh I'd say it's mostly due to there not being that many 5.5s made in the first place.

The 4.7 being up long after the 5.5 sold out kinda attests to it, especially when the 4.7 will easily outsell
