I guess it must be pretty fair weather outside, so there's no reason to watch a Miami sporting event:smugbiden:

Japan, but from the 989
I was in downtown Miami when it happened. shyt was pathetic. Not so much because of attendance as overall planning and organization.

First of all, who holds a championship parade on a fukking Monday? :mindblown:

Second of all, they basically sealed off downtown almost 3 hours before the parade started. Unless you had driven downtown by 8:00-8:15 AM, getting in by car was impossible. The parade itself was at 11. Also, the streets stayed sealed for like 2 hours after the parade passed. :comeon:

Third, the route of the parade was really short. They basically just went from SW 8th up through downtown and to the stadium.

NBA.com claims there were 400,000 people and that may be true, but attendance aside this was very poorly organized event. Once they got to the stadium, only season ticket holders were allowed in because last year, too many people got packed inside and got heatstroke or some shyt.

:noah: Damn that's fukked. You would think they would organize it better. LOL they were like.."fukk it, they will come" lol

Because it's summertime, and rains every other day. When the Marlins won the World Series, they held it at Bayfront Park, which is next door.

Btw, the inside event was not reserved for season ticket holders only. Tickets were issued through Ticketmaster on a first come, first served basis.

Nobody in the MIA gives a f*ck. Anybody on the beach knows the most common quote is "for sure maybe". You gotta practically be payin' MIA people to come out, they're so f*ckin' entitled. If the Heat wanted a TRUE Miami fanbase, they would be located in Opa Locka or Hialeah where most of the REAL Miami residents live. Nobody in SB gives a f*ck about the parade, they're too busy lookin' good and gettin' f*cked up.
