Id have to sit down and really think about it but id break it down into periods. I have a preferences towards anything from classical antiquity to the middle ages but Im also a big fan of the rennaisance/enlightenment age all the way to the civil war/westerns. Modern era like Malcom X or Selma or war movies like Saving Private Ryan are good but since its more recent I gravitate towards older periods that Im less inclined to have studied and know about. And it depends cause I like serious historical fiction movies like for example Glory from Denzel and Matthew Broderick but Im a huge fan of Tombstone even if it was historically inaccurate yet based on real people, so Tombstone would be up there. Braveheart and Apocalypto both crack the top 10 though easily

I haven't watched this movie and probably won't. Call me a short sighted American but if the movie is not in English I have no interest.

Watched it again. First time watching it all the way thru since it came out. Wow. Great movie. Super stressful watch. The part where the village that got ran thru was trying to pass and jaguar paws daddy was like you see the fear in their face, its like a disease that spreads :whew: when he kills the general's son. :whew: 10/10.

Was disappointed when I found out none of the movie was historically accurate

The movie is basically a cac fantasy

What you mean??

They did sacrifice people like it was a game. There are reports that it use to be rivers of blood so high. The only question is what entities they were sacrificing for.

That was the Aztecs. The movie depicted the Mayans. Although its said that near the end of the Mayan civilization there was Aztec influence...
