Damn shame she’s a billiards legend. I wonder if any of her daughters will grow up to be as good. Cam you teach someone to be great at pool or do they have to ha e that love and extra ability in them?

You can teach someone the game.... But to become exceptional at it I believe takes practice and that "it" factor..... There was a guy that was a pool hall regular around my hood... This dude would be taking to his boys... Come to the table and not even look to line up his shot he just struck the cue and every shot went in.... And this was 9 BALL!... u know with 9 ball its not about the current shot but setting the cue up for the NEXT shot.... Dude was incredible and I don't think that was taught....

You talking minimum of 5-6 hours practice a day. Basically any cue sports Snooker and the different variants of pool you need to start as early as possible. You my get the odd hand eye coordination genius to take up the sport late as in late teens early 20's and be a success but that is extremely rare. Everyone I know like in Snooker and Pool all started as young children.

In APA the skill levels go from 2-7. There's a guy on my team that in 3 sessions went from a 3 to a 6. He just has a natural ability and it helps that in his free time all he does is practice if his girl is at work. He's played 30 matches and has only lost 4. It's crazy
