it is known that the CIA has been importing illegal drugs into the US since the Vietnam war...maybe even longer.
if Trump sends in the military into Mexico and who knows where else with the explicit goal of knocking out the cartels then that means one of two things:
a) he is going to seriously disrupt the status quo and then make very powerful enemies.
or
b) he is going to seriously disrupt the status quo but intends to fill the vacuum left behind and fill it with his own structure.
i think he has his eyes on the real money maker.
appoint a new CIA head that will work with him
behind the scenes to pocket as much of that drug
money as he possibly can by cutting out the middle man.
don't negotiate with a narco-state...
